CAMBODIA:
Construction / DIY / Maintenance Volunteering in the Community in Cambodia
Get your hands dirty and help the poorer communities in Cambodia. The main construction site is at a local school allocated to the poor, but also can take place on another site in the area where development construction assistance is needed.
While assisting the local community with their developments, you'll gain valuable experiences and cultural exchanges with the Cambodian people.

Temple Conservation and Restoration in Cambodia:
The secret and hidden area of Banteay Meanchey contains some of Cambodia's best kept secrets, the ancient temples of Banteay Chhmar. These massive temples are widely regarded as some of the most important archaeological complexities of the Angkor period.
On this project you be working with a local team to assist in the renovation and preservation of the temples.

ECUADOR:
Galapagos Islands Conservation, Reforestation and Community Project
Help preserve the native and endemic forests of San Cristobal Island. This project combines environmental, community and social initiatives to improve the sustainability of the islands. Plus, it’s loads of fun!
The Centre is popular with international volunteers and there is loads going on, from horse-riding therapy, to wandering giant tortoises, to reforestation work, to coaching football to local kids.

SOUTH AFRICA:
Maintenance / Handyman / DIY Assistance Project near Durban
If you have any maintenance / handyman / DIY skills, this project would love to have you! The project is truly unique ... you'll be assisting an Animal Rehabilitation Centre that desperately needs any help it can get and you'll be benefiting the animals at the same time! And, of course, the location is very unusual. And finally, conservationists are lovely people to work with!
On this placement you'll use lots of energy and your own initiative to improve and expand the facilities in the Sanctuary. You'll leave with a great sense of achievement and satisfaction. Situated in the beautiful subtropical city of Durban, it’s an experience that you’ll never, ever forget.

SRI LANKA:
Buddhist Temple Renovation and Construction Project in Kandy
Rebuild and renovate Buddhist temples in and around Kandy. This unique and fascinating project offers an opportunity to learn about Sri Lankan construction using traditional manual methods, without using modern machinery.
Work includes construction, repainting temples, cleaning in and around temples; interacting with children and villagers and helping the Temples arrange Community Centres for the village youths. You'll also assist with the restoration of paintings and sculptures inside the temples.

ZIMBABWE:
Community Healthcare and Medical Project in Gweru
Gain basic medical experience in local clinics and play a role in HIV/AIDS education and awareness.ou'll be able to get involved in not only this clinic but others in the nearby area as well. You do not need to be qualified in any particular area. You'll work with children from the ages of 3 to 6 years. A very worthwhile, enjoyable placement.
