Gain work experience in a law practice with 18 staff that concentrates on a wide variety of areas, ranging from Labour Law Counselling for corporations through to International Human Rights law. You’ll work as part of a team as well as independently on research. You will be guided at the beginning and then given research to do before presenting your own opinions or point of view. It will include paper and administrative work as well.

You'll be given opportunities to have a case or two of your own where you will interview clients, write letters and notifications concerning the cases or attend Court. You could find yourself working on cases, working on research projects or writing articles about current topics and human rights issues.

SRI LANKA:
Law Work Experience Internship in Negombo Beach
Intern in a small practice in Negombo (5 lawyers), which means you'll gain experience across all areas of law. The variety will be greater than you would be exposed to in a big practice. There are 3 Courts in Negombo and proceedings in two of them are conducted in English. You'll have opportunity to attend both 'English-language' Courts and well as assisting in other duties, such as drafting legal documents, in the office.
